at Zettle by Paypal in Edinburgh for salary not provided

At PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL), we believe that every person has the right to participate fully in the global economy. Our mission is to democratize financial services to ensure that everyone, regardless of background or economic standing, has access to affordable, convenient, and secure products and services to take control of their financial lives.

In 2021, iZettle became Zettle by PayPal to go further in its mission to redefine financial freedom and help small businesses succeed in a world of giants. By offering them the tools to get paid, sell smarter and grow, we are empowering sellers across the globe to reach their full potential. We believe that together we’re made for more and think that the best is yet to come. Our journey in putting an end to ordinary is just starting — Are you with us?

As our quest to democratize financial services continues at blazing speed, our POS Alliance is looking for an experienced  Tech Manager in Edinburgh to lead incredibly talented people grouped in two teams: the Order and the Post-Checkout Teams.

To make the magic happen, our Tech Managers play a fundamental role in showing the way forward while ensuring that our People are having fun working together toward a common vision.

A glimpse of what you will get here

In POS, we are 12 cross-functional self-organized teams building together and co-owning the point of sales that will enable small businesses to grow faster whenever and wherever. All teams own a crucial part of the product. The order - and post-checkout team own the product pieces around the checkout flows used when sellers run their business and selling to their customers.

In our systems we have a zero-fault tolerance while handling millions of events per day. Scalability and monitoring are crucial, testing is as important as production code itself and we write code for the developers that will come, not simply code that works.
